The Body Work

Muscles & joints

We focus on core strengths where needed, but flexibility, smooth & soft muscles as well as healthy and flexible joints are very important aspects in our body work.

Thus helping to prevent inflammations, accidents, soreness, bad body postures, rheumatism, arthritis.....

Nervous system & digestion

The central nervous system is formed by the brain and the spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system includes all nerves outside the spinal cord. Thus working on the nervous system is an integrative part in our Body Work as well as our Mental Work as both are inseparably linked. Furthermore, there is this enteric or intrinsic nervous system, known as the "belly brain" which is one of the main divisions of the autonomic nervous system that governs the functions of the gastrointestinal tract capable of operating independently of the brain and the spinal cord. In our Body Work we stimulate the whole digestive tract whilst simultaneously stimulating the intrinsic nervous system.

Endocrine system & vitality

Here another very important aspect of our Body Work. The endocrine system is made up of several organs called glands. These glands, located all over the body, create and secrete (release) hormones. Hormones are chemicals that coordinate different functions in the body by carrying messages through the blood to the organs, skin, muscles and other tissues in stimulating the intrinsic nervous system. Too much or too little secretion of hormones can cause an imbalance in our body, thus affecting our well-being as well as our vitality.

Feeling vitalised & full of energy can help in accomplishing with motivation all tasks that seemed impossible before...

Breathing & Lung capacity

The breath is an interesting part of your body, as it functions automatically, yet we can consiously influence it at any moment and voluntarily change its rhythm and quality. Furthermore, we ignore the capacity of our lungs and therefore use only a minimum of it. As breathing is vital, we use it in our Body Work to increase our physical vitality in discovering our lung capacity as well as in our Mental Work for calming the mind effectively.

Relaxation

The Mind Work

Relaxation

There are effective methods to calm the mind and to induce deep mental and physical relaxation. This is foremost a very important aspect as there is an intimate relation to the autonomic nervous system and our whole being benefits from it, as the autonomic nervous system regulates the body's unconscious actions. It will harmonise the Sympathetic Nervous System (the fight or flight response) with the Parasympathetic Nervous System (rest and digest response).

Nowadays the Sympathetic Nervous System (the fight or flight response) is overstimulated and this is a possible reason why a deep and regenerating sleep is hardly achieved due to overactive mental activity.

Focus & Concentration

Once we gain a calm mind and are able to keep this mental state similar like still water on a lake without ripples, other interesting mental aspect can be introduced such as focus and concentration.

With simples yet effective methods, we train our mind to enhance the power of focus and concentration.

Both qualities are so important as they will lower the stress level and give us tools to keep the mind focused in whatever we do, reducing the chances of errors or bad decisions.

Visualisation

Here is another challenging, yet "worth a try" aspect of our Mind Work. The ability of visualisation is bringing upward your creativity and the ability to literally see a possibility, a solution to a problem, an inspiration from within.

The visualisation aspect is the next step from a calm mind with the ability of focus and concentration. Thus a most regular practice is needed to be able to gain benefits from it, let's dive deeper into it :)

The Emotional Work

Serenity & Positivity

The emotions are part of the mind thus there is an impact during the Mind Work already.

However, emotions are literally "energy in motion", influencing our whole being consciously or unconsciously. Therefore it's so worth putting an important focus on it.

During our Emotional Work we focus on understanding our "bad" habits or emotional responses that results always in a similar way. We have negative emotions that are popping up regularly be it anger, fear, jealousy, sadness, etc. and the work here is to understand which one is predominant; the one that is influencing us the most. We also work in understanding the "trigger points", be it words, situations or people that trigger exactly that emotion.

Once we have a better understanding of the current emotional situation, the work will be in neutralising the current negative emotion with the opposite positive emotion.

We learn how to master possible outbursts, thus avoiding the vicious cycle and no longer being puppets of our own emotions.

If we master to channel and to transform them we gain in serenity and positivity, influencing our whole being positively and enhancing our lifestyle.
